Job Description: Armed Security Officer – Event Staff

We prioritize the safety and well-being of our customers and employees. As a security officer you'll play a crucial role in ensuring a secure, enjoyable and safe environment for everyone who walks through our doors. We are looking for dedicated individuals who are committed to upholding our standards of safety. As an Event Staff Security Officer your primary responsibility is to maintain a safe and secure environment. You will be responsible for the following tasks:

1. Access control: Monitor and control access to the event ensuring only authorized personnel and attendees enter.

2. Asset Protection: Help safeguard event assets by ensuring the proper handling of merchandise and monitoring inventory discrepancies.

3. Attendee Assistance: Provide friendly and helpful assistance to event attendees answering questions and offering guidance when needed.

4. Surveillance: maintaining a constant presence in order to ensure safety of guests, attendees, and staff.

5. Emergency Response: Respond promptly to any security incident, accident, or emergencies within the event. Follow established procedures and protocols for handling such situations

6. Report Writing: document all security related incidents including thefts, accidents and disturbances. Prepare detailed Daily Activity / Incident reports as necessary

7. Collaboration: Work closely with event management team and local law enforcement when needed to address security issues

Minimum Requirements:

· 10 years prior work experience (LEO or Military experience preferred)

· Valid Nevada Armed Exposed Firearm Permit (have qualified within last 6 mos.)

· Strong observational skill and attention to detail

· Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills

· Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle difficult situations

· Aptitude for critical incident handling

· As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Additional Qualifications (Preferred but not required):

· Bachelors Degree or Higher

· CPR/First Aid

· Foreign language proficiency

· Willingness to travel

· Impeccable character/integrity

· Small unit leadership or supervisory experience

Working Conditions:

· This position may involve standing and walking and patrolling for extended periods.

Expected hours: 8 – 40 per week
