On Time Ambulance is Hiring an Assistant Vice President of Finance - Mobile Health Near Somerset, NJ

Reporting to the VP of Finance for the Emergency Medicine, Hospitalist Medicine, and Mobile Health service line, the AVP of Finance for Mobile Health will foster a collaborative environment within the Mobile Heath leadership team by developing and executing the division’s short-term and long-term financial strategy. The AVP is a results-driven, ethical leader who generates and interprets financial data to guide Mobile Health leadership and improve operational efficiencies. The AVP serves as the finance leader for business and financial planning, project management and execution, budget management, financial modeling and forecasting, financial and operational reporting and analysis, revenue cycle management, and internal financial controls.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

· Oversee $135M budget, finances, and revenue cycle for both RWJBarnabas Health Mobile Health and On Time. Including the management of respective directors, team members and outsourced billing companies.

· Support the Mobile Health executive by establish key performance indicators and performance monitoring systems, and where necessary, develop corrective action plans. Provide financial training to directors and review budgetary guidelines, ensuring fiscal responsibility.

· In coordination with division and system leadership, develop a multi-year strategic plan for mobile health division inclusive of On Time.

· Overseeing the completion of Mobile Health’s monthly, quarterly and yearly financial reporting, including operating budget variance reports, volumes and statistics, labor productivity, capital budgeting and spending tracking, decision support analytics, and monthly financial summary write-up’s.

· Oversee and lead the budget process to ensure budget meets division priorities and aligns with overall system financial and organization goals. This includes revenue and expense budget as well as capital and FTE budgets.

· Oversee the management of expenses to ensure purchase orders and invoices are processed in a timely manner and are coded consistent with budget.

· Oversee revenue cycle performance for both RWJBH Mobile Health and On TIme, including reviewing, monitoring, and explaining monthly revenue performance against budget and benchmark criteria, and implementing corrective action plans when needed.

· Communicate and present financial and operational performance to both division and health system leadership.

· Assist in the evaluation and execution of solution driven strategies focused on serving RWJBH medical centers as well as independent assets, including the Centralized Patient Transfer Center, Mobile Health Training Center, and On Time’s non-emergency transport services.

· Oversee the management of grant projects at both Pre-Award and Post-Award levels, collaborating with logistics, foundation, and grant accounting teams to ensure timely submissions of expenditure and progress reports to grant administrators.

· Oversee the maintenance of authorized FTEs in conjunction with division specific finance directors in the Peoplesoft HRIS system on a regular basis.

· Nurture relationships with internal system partners such as hospital operational leadership, corporate finance, managed care, and IT, as well as external community partners such as municipal and state agencies.

Qualifications:

· Bachelors’ Degree, Master’s degree preferred

· Minimum of ten (10) years of progressive healthcare finance experience including leadership role, business analytics, and process improvement

· Experience with financial statement management and analysis, including Statement of Operations, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow

· Demonstrated knowledge of financial, operational, and clinical workflows in a hospital / health system environment

· Experience facilitating diverse work groups including experience working with technical and non-technical staff

· Demonstrated project management skills

· Strong oral and written communication skills; must have experience leading meetings with senior leadership

· Exceptional organizational skills to manage complex changes with various interdependent components

· Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to use data to develop narratives and turn data into actionable insights

· Self-motivated and detail oriented

· Team player who fosters a positive, transparent, and focused working environment to achieve division goals

· Possess logical problem-solving capabilities.

· Experience with Microsoft Office applications. Advanced knowledge of Excel functions. Must have extensive experience with pivot tables, VLOOKUP and similar functions, graphs, projections, forecasting.

· Experience with data analytics

· Proficiency in Accounting Software packages.

· Ability to meet deadlines and to function under minimal direction.

· Ability to communicate and work effectively with a diverse group of business professionals at all levels of the organization including management, physicians, support staff, patients, and customers.
