OMS Group, LLC. is Hiring a Contract Vegetation Program Manager (CVPM) Near SACRAMENTO, CA

OMS Field Services is looking for a Contract Vegetation Program Manager (CVPM) to work in our clients Vegetation Management program. This position will work at the direction of the Client Representative. CVPM will assist in the VM Program and help support operations and work on process improvement initiatives, schedule, and coordination of VM activities. Business conduct must occur in accordance with OMS policies and procedures and be aligned with the goals of OMS and our client.
Essential Functions:
 
  • At the discretion of the Program Manager, CVPM will work on an as-needed basis. Office location will be determined and strategically placed to cover the geographic service territory identified by the Client Representative.
  • Assist with difficult customers at the direction of the Program Manager (customer complaints, refusals, difficult access, agencies)
  • At the direction of the Client Representative clarify expectations and program direction for PI and TT contractor employees.
  • Assist with monitoring the progress and status of pre-inspection and tree work completion.
  • Perform database “sleuthing” to identify issues.
  • Assist with Agency meetings and field visits to review VM work as directed by the Client Program Manager
  • Assist with management of projects – routine and non-routine.
  • Assist in management of the contract review process.
  • Other duties as assigned by OMS or the client.
Qualifications:
  • Two-year degree in forestry or a related field, and/or
  • Two (2) years’ experience in line clearance tree pruning work or equivalent as determined by the Client Representative.
  • Exhibit supervisory capabilities and be familiar with the Contractor's work practices, proper arboricultural techniques and practices, proper integrated pest management practices, Client’s Tree Pruning Specification 5404, Pre-Inspection Specification 4851 and requirements, and all applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Required to maintain a Class C driver’s license, including participating in Employer Pull Notice Program (EPN), with DMV.
  • Conduct a background check, drug screening, and health exam.
  • Approval by Client Representative
Working Conditions: Environmental Factors: Indoor and outdoor conditions; exposure to heat, cold, potentially hazardous chemicals, toxic materials; work on/walk on slippery or uneven and potentially mountainous terrain. Noise level is usually moderate. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Ability to perform tasks during a typical 8 hour workday.
