Overview
Responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining an efficient and effective environmental, health & safety management system in accordance with ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, and R2 Practices standards. This is an internship for a student in college/university; there will be no benefits included. $15/hour base rate.
The location of this position is 219 Murray St, Fort Wayne, IN 46803.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that EH&S management system is established, implemented and maintained in accordance with ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, and R2 Practices
- Report to top management on the performance of the EH&S management system and any necessary changes for improvement
- Ensure that awareness of customer and other requirements is promoted throughout OER
- Ensure that environment, health and safety is properly addressed and managed within the system
- Resolve matters pertaining to the EH&SMS
Qualifications
- Knowledge and experience of EH&S management systems
- Detail oriented
- Ability to liaison with all levels of the organization
- Ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel
- Very ethical and honest
- Desire for continual improvement
