Description

• Use measuring tools (micrometer and calipers) to check metal gage and roll diameters. Use computer controlled equipment to monitor / operate line.
• Work from drawings, work orders, specifications, instructions, and established methods and procedures.
• Use a variety of material handling equipment such as powered fork-lift trucks.
• Set up separator blades to ensure proper “fan out” pf metal and eliminate rolled edges.
• Interpret drawings and specifications to plan setups.
• Make repairs and adjustments to the equipment, referring major repairs to the maintenance personnel.
• Detect and report faulty operation, defective material and equipment and all unusual conditions to proper supervisor.
• Maintain workplace in a neat and orderly condition
• Make out time and production reports.

Education

Required
High School or better.

Experience

Required

• Must have a strong mathematical ability. Ability to work with Fractions and Decimals. Must be able to read and interpret charts, specifications, and production schedules. Ability to use micrometer and calipers. Solid computer skills (oracle) Detail- Oriented- must be able to make decisions, plan, preform and detect faulty equipment.

1-2 years: Over 1 year of related work experience. Forklift experience required. Ability to use measuring instruments. (micro-meters and calipers) Familiar with the shearing of aluminum and galvanized sheet steel, setting, adjusting and synchronizing line speeds.
