We’re looking for a well-rounded, detail-oriented, and organized individual who thrives in a fast-paced but rewarding environment! This role will involve working alongside our existing team of project accountants on hundred-million-dollar construction jobs in New York City. Project Accountants are typically responsible for the monthly billing cycle of 2-3 projects at a time (dependent on project size and complexity).

Responsibilities

• Oversee the monthly billing cycle for 3 ground-up construction projects in New York City alongside our existing team of project accountants and junior accountants
• Review field team approved subcontractor billings for accuracy (AIA G702/G703 requisition format)
• Review monthly internal General Conditions invoices/expenses and internal payroll reports
• Compile subcontractor billings and General Conditions costs into one billing package on monthly basis (AIA G702/G703 requisition format)
• Attend monthly requisition review meetings with Owner/Developer/Lender at project job sites if necessary
• Assist in project close-out process (obtaining all financial and contractual waivers, warranties, etc.)
• Work with project management to ensure Procore is being utilized correctly to interface with project accounting requirements
• Confirm contract/purchase order status for new subcontractor billing
• Ability to train and assist junior PA team members

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 - 5 Years of Experience as a Construction Project Accountant / At Least 5 Years of Construction Accounting-Related Experience
• Proficient In AIA G702/G703 Formatted Requisition Billing
• Excellent Knowledge of MS Office (Especially Microsoft Excel)
• Experience With Sage 100 Contractor Highly Preferred
• Experience With Procore Financial Tools or DocuSign Preferred
• Strong Organizational Skills and Ability to Multi-Task
