Job Description

Since opening the doors in 1916, the Omni William Penn Hotel has played a starring role in the city of Pittsburgh, hosting movie stars, politicians, heads of state and leaders of business and industry. A multi-million-dollar renovation has only enhanced the beauty of this luxury hotel to ensure that generations to come will enjoy the outstanding service, guest room accommodations and award-winning cuisine that have defined Omni William Penn for decades. The Grande Dame is now hiring for a Painter. Come and join the #1 Hotel in the City of Pittsburgh and her Team!

Maintain (paint, wallpaper, plaster, etc.) all public areas and guest rooms on an on-going basis. Keep the hotel decor in good condition. Clean all work areas after completing job. Fill out Daily Work form. Have a thorough understanding of Omni's fire alarm procedures and other emergencies. Have a thorough understanding of Omni Hotel rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for interior of hotel in all areas and frequent exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures.
• Responsible for the exterior of hotel, with exposure to weather conditions.
• Background in laying out and hanging wall paper is preferred. 

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of professional painting experience required.
• Must be available AM's, PM's Monday through Sundays.
• Exposure to various hazardous chemicals.
• Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling and carrying required to perform inspections and repairs anywhere in or out of hotel property. 
• This position is a TEMPORARY position - 3 months -
• Must be a union member of the Painters Union.
