Job Description

To ensure the routines and tasks of each shift are properly completed in accordance with Omni standards. To ensure that all guest and associate situations are resolved in a timely manner, and to ensure the safety and security of all guests and associates.

Responsibilities
    Responsible for coordinating the hiring of all Security personnel in conjunction with the Director of Safety and Loss Prevention.
  • May act as the acting Manager on Duty.
  • Ensures that all Security personnel functions are being properly completed.
  • Ensures that shift personnel are properly assigned at all times.
  • Responsible for disciplining Loss Prevention personnel in conjunction with the Director of Safety and Loss Prevention.
  • Reviews all reports completed by Security officers to ensure accuracy and timely submission.
  • Maintains a good relationship with all departments within the hotel and ensures that efficient service is available at all times.
  • Reports all observed hotel property deficiencies and safety hazards.
  • Ensures that a thorough and complete investigation and report is made on incidents, (e.g., losses, thefts, and accidents) incurred by guests and associates.
  • Responsible for coordinating guest room surveillance in conjunction with the Director of Safety and Loss Prevention.
  • Ensures that all phases of the key control program are maintained and any discrepancies noted are investigated thoroughly and reported to the Director of Safety and Loss Prevention and the Resort Manger
  • Ensures that all Security equipment (i.e., uniforms, walkie-talkies, cameras, Nextel, Ving Card system, etc.) Are kept clean and in good working condition.
  • Monitors all traffic in the lobby area and restaurant, restrooms, parking area, and room service area to control non-guest (i.e., drunks, prostitutes, vagrants, etc.)
  • Reports all associates using unauthorized Hotel entrance/exits when reporting for work or leaving for the day to the Director of Safety and Loss Prevention.
  • Checks cashier vault at normal intervals.
  • Periodically inspects exterior of building.
  • Maintains a continual line of communication with the Director of Safety and Loss Prevention
  • Understand all emergency procedures
  • Understand all radio codes
Qualifications

Qulification:

  • Previous Hotel experience in a Four Diamond Convention Resort Preferred
  • Previous Experience in Loss Prevention Preferred
  • Previous Experience as a Supervisor Preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Extended periods of time on feet while patrolling the property.
  • Capable of lifting 50 lbs

Tools and Equipment:

  • Telephone, pen/pencil, photo-copying machine, computer and printer file folders, filing cabinet, facsimile machine, radios, VCR's, pagers, key control system TV monitors, and fire control system
  • Lift jack dolly, hand truck, camera, first aid equipment, bell carts

Working Environment:

  • Interior of hotel, in all areas with exposure to extreme temperatures.
  • Exterior of hotel with exposure to weather conditions.
  • Exposure to various hazardous chemicals.
