  • RelocationAssistance : No Relo this needs to be a candidate in the WesternSuburbs of Chicago or slightly west of Geneva Illinois (KendallCounty DeKalb County). No one in thecity.

Weare seeking an experienced plaintiff s personal injury paralegal tojoin our team. As a litigation paralegal you will work directlywith the supervising litigation partner be expected to proactivelyperform case tasks with minimal instruction and maintainsignificant oversight over a dedicated case load of 40 to 50 injurycases.

DutiesandResponsibilities :

  • Draftroutine legal documents for review and use byattorneys.
  • Draftsettlementdemands.
  • Draftcomplaints answers to affirmative defenses and otherpleadings.
  • Draftdiscovery requests andresponses.
  • Criticallyreview discovery responses records and otherevidence.
  • Consistentlycommunicate withclients.
  • Intakeand evaluate potential personal injuryclients.
  • Workto obtain evidence including medical records medical bills wageinformation police reports witness statements andmore.
  • Maintaincase and firmcalendars.
  • Assistwith deposition preparation and exhibitorganization.
  • Organizeevidence fortrial.
  • Assistwith selection of and coordination with expertwitnesses.
  • Prepareand file court documents in state and / or federalcourts.

Requirements

BasicRequirements :

  • Bachelors degreepreferred.
  • 5years of experience as a paralegal in a personal injuryfirm.
  • Experiencewith efiling process inIllinois.
  • Excellentverbal and written communicationskills.
  • Highattention todetail.
  • Abilityto manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks atonce.
  • Proficientin MicrosoftOffice.
