Omm IT Solutions is Hiring a Mid Level Landscape Architect Near Rockville, MD

We are a multi-disciplinary engineering firm specializing in civil engineering, landscape architecture, geotechnical engineering, surveying, construction materials testing and inspections, subsurface utility engineering, and environmental investigations.

Our headquarters is in Beltsville, Maryland with branch offices in Baltimore and Rockville, Maryland.

We are currently seeking a Mid Level Landscape Architect to join our Rockville, MD office.

Primary Responsibilities:

Design and prepare land planning and engineering documents for feasibility studies, preliminary plans, site plans, landscape plans, natural resource inventory/forest stand delineation, forest conservation and site grading
Perform site evaluations and plant identification for forest stand delineations/natural resource inventories
Research existing site information, prepare reports, and cost estimates
Prepare exhibits for agency meetings, citizen meetings, and public hearings
Familiar with local jurisdiction zoning and design manuals and drafting and design software
Assist in bringing projects through the entitlement process

Requirements

Qualifications:

BS degree in Landscape Architecture or related field
2-4 years of design experience directly related to site/civil/land planning projects
Working towards Landscape Architect registration
Arborist experience is a plus

Skills/Competencies:

Studied or experience in a wide range of landscape architecture/land planning including plant materials, land planning, zoning, site grading and natural resources
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with colleagues
Solid technical writing skills to compose technical reports, permit documents, memorandums, and other written communication such as email
Knowledge and experience in MicroStation/ AutoCAD, Microsoft Office suite, Photoshop, Sketchup.
