Omega Investments Group is Hiring a Controller Near Grand Rapids, MI

Job Title: Controller

Company Overview: Omega Investments Group is a local family office and investment group managing 4 businesses with roughly 125 employees. Omega Investments purpose is to provide marketing, accounting, HR, and consulting services to the businesses in its portfolio. The current portfolio consists of businesses in the grocery industry. Growth will be made in that area; however, we do plan to diversify into other types of businesses.

Job Overview: We are seeking a Controller to oversee company financials and assist with some HR related task. This role will report to the owners and have some flexibility to make this role their own.

Responsibilities:

1. Accounting:

· Oversee and manage all company financials.

· Process and manage invoices for all companies in a timely manner.

· Oversee company financial records and perform accounting duties for accurate record-keeping.

· Track and report sales, expenses, and overall financial performance of the companies.

· Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements.

· Conduct financial audits and implement internal controls.

· Work with owners to secure financing on new acquisitions

2. Human Resources:

· Develop and maintain employee handbooks, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.

· Coordinate employee benefits programs, including medical insurance and 401(k) plans, and assist employees with enrollment and inquiries.

3. General Administration:

· Provide general administrative support as needed.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

· Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting and/or human resources roles.

· Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks).

· Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.

· Knowledge of HR laws and regulations.

· Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

· Ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
