Summary The Dietary Aide assists patients in all dietary functions as directed in accordance with established food policies and procedures.
Essential Functions •Orders proper diet for patients and verifies the correct temperature upon arrival. •Maintains a log of special diet needs. •Prepares food under DHH/DNV and Public Health guidelines. •Serves food and beverages to patients. •Washes dishes, cleans, and sanitizes galley according to health standards. •Verifies galley cabinets are locked when there are no patients. •Keeps an accurate inventory of all service materials (dishes, silver, and glasses). •Monitors and maintains refrigerator temperature logs. •Checks and stocks linen as needed. •Assist in locking the facility after hours. •Assist in preparing rooms for the next day by placing physician name plates on doors and placing patient gowns and socks on the bed. •Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience •Highschool Diploma or equivalent (GED). •At least 1 year of previous experience in food service. •Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
Required Skills and Certifications •Professional verbal and written communication skills.
