JUNIOR PROJECT ENGINEER

Since 1975, Omega Flex has been manufacturing and supplying quality engineered flexible metal hose products that meet demanding industrial, commercial and residential applications. We currently have an immediate opening for a Jr. Project Engineer to join our Industrial Division in Exton, PA.

Primary Responsibilities

The Junior Project Engineer reports to the Senior Project Engineer and is responsible for working on both long-term and short-term process and product design projects. This position will require an ability to make sound design decisions and handle multiple projects at once. This position will interact with and provide technical support to production personnel and maintenance. In this role you will be hands on, improve throughput, and create production drawings and tooling fixtures. You will also use the following programs: AutoCAD and Inventor.

Education Requirements:

• 2-year technical degree or certificate and 3-5 years experience in drafting and designing.
• Or a four-year Engineering Technology degree.

Skill Requirements:

Metrology

• Inspecting First Articles using typical measuring equipment (calipers, gages)
• GD&T

Document Control

• Be able to maintain proper revision control in accordance with ISO guidelines.

Additional Skills Helpful but Not Required:

Machine Experience

• Working knowledge of welding or metal forming processes.

• Machining experience (Lathe and Mill)

Equipment Design

• Working Knowledge of Bearings, Drives, Motors
• Control Panel Design and wiring

PLC Programming

• Various Brands include Koyo, Allen Bradley, and Omron

Electrical Troubleshooting

• Knowledge of Relays, Transformers, Interlocks
