Omega 365 is Hiring a Regulatory Specialist Near Georgetown, TX

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support and ensure the continuing classification and regulatory compliance of the Guyana Fleet & Operations in relation to all required permits, licenses, authorizations, certificates etc.
  • Interface with Clients, Regulators, Class Societies, and other relevant Stakeholders on regulatory matters related to local & regional Operations.
  • Coordinate regulatory activities.
  • Support the Operations Readiness Team in providing necessary input to new projects related to Guyana operations.
  • Implement and ensure implementation of applicable Global Enterprise Management Systems (GEMS) processes.
  • Support procurement processes to ensure that packages are delivered complete with required documentation and certificates.
  • Perform and monitor regulatory-related verifications on operational units;
  • Act as focal point in Guyana for regulatory management, internally for the Region, and externally to the Client, Contractors, Third party and Vendors.
  • Perform Integrated Management System audits (ISM/ISPS/ISO14001/ISO45001)
  • Follow the findings related to Quality and Regulatory.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of relevant University Degree such as Oil & Gas management/industry or Petroleum Engineering.
  • Minimum of three (3) years working experience as regulatory engineer, Project Manager or Lead Surveyor. Exposure to Classification Societies activities will be a considered asset.
  • Thorough Knowledge & experience working with quality process/ tools in Oil and Gas industry or other relevant industry (eg: Naval, Marine) will be an asset
  • Thorough knowledge of Quality tools , experience with said tools will be an asset
  • Experience with office software packages e.g. MS Office 365, SharePoint, Teams, Power BI (or equivalent).
  • Knowledge about Quality and Regulatory processes / policies in Oil and Gas industry
  • Experience in performing System Audits.
  • Relevant experience and knowledge on Class and flag requirements on Oil&Gas industry.
  • Experience in Document Management Systems
  • Experience in data analysis and reporting
  • Fluent in (spoken and written) English.
  • Available to travel to operating locations, including Offshore on an occasional basis
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to be proactive
  • Effective communication skills
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
