Provides clerical support for the department, including secretarial and receptionist duties. Duties include, but are not limited to, scheduling patient appointments, making reminder calls, greeting and welcoming guests / patients, maintaining the waiting area to ensure that it is neat, organized and stocked, organizing and archiving records, filing, entering billing information for the department, and compiling quality assurance data.
Maintains educational materials and provides back-up coverage for other clerical staff as requested. Attention to detail and the ability to multi-task are critical to the success of this position.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
QUALIFICATIONS : Education
High school diploma or equivalent required. Office management training preferred. Knowledge of medical and nutritional terminology preferred.
Experience
Two years related experience in a receptionist / clerical capacity in a healthcare setting.
Licensure / Credentials
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

BENEFITS SUMMARY :
This plan is administered by Washington Employment Security Department. Additional details can be found at Sick Leave PSL is accrued at a rate of 1 hour for every 40 hours worked and is available to use after 90 days of employment.
Pro-rated for part-time employees. Employees may begin using vacation after completing 1040 benefit hours. Accrual rate increases with years of service.
