Position Title: Billing and Intake Coordinator
Reports to: Billing and Intake Manager
Status: Hourly, Full Time
Sonoma Recovery Services, LLC provides high-quality residential chemical dependency services to adult men and women. The overarching goal of the program is to assist residents in attaining and maintaining a life free from chemical dependency.

The position of Billing and Intake Coordinator reports to the Billing and Intake Manager of Sonoma Recovery Services, LLC.
1. Enter daily and periodic insurance-related charges into the system.
2. Enter daily and periodic private pay-related charges into the system.
3. Serve as the primary point of contact for managing documentation and communicating internally and externally regarding all matters of clients’ insurance claims.
4. Work with clinical staff and utilization review specialists to gather information for authorization for benefits, ensuring appropriate documentation is complete.
5. Submit insurance claims on a regular and timely basis, following up on errors, EOBs, and appeals. Work cases over 30 days that are not paid every week until resolved.
6. Maintain electronic files of insurance documentation related to all clients and claims.
7. Enter payments made by or on behalf of clients into the chart of accounts, distributing payments as designated.
8. Assist in insurance credentialing efforts as needed.
9. Perform other duties as assigned.
4. Create and update profile information for new and returning clients in the billing system.
This job is primarily performed in an office environment and requires frequent use of computers, telephones, fax and copy machines, and printers. To fulfill the duties of this role, the Billing and Intake Coordinator must be able to:
§ Frequently: lift/carry 10 lbs. or less, sit, stand, walk, bend, use the telephone, and type
§ Occasionally: lift/carry up to 20 lbs., squat, kneel, and twist/turn
§ Rarely: drive a vehicle with automatic transmission, climb, and reach over the shoulder
§ Associate Degree, B.A., B.S., or equivalent experience
§ Ability to physically assist individuals served in crises.
