Oliver Inc. is looking for an experienced, and accurate SQF Practitioner/Quality Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will work within the manufacturing plant and be responsible for monitoring product quality throughout the manufacturing folding-carton process, by applying the quality and safety plan for each specific department (Press Room, Die Cutting, Folding Gluing). Ensuring that the product meets legal compliance and customer requirements/specifications. The ideal candidate will take ownership of the quality of all outgoing materials and products as well as production procedures of food safe packaging.

Responsibilities

• Inspects incoming raw material, reviews setup and make-ready, in-process sampling, and final quality acceptance sampling.
• Assist in implementing GMPs.
• Aiding the Quality/Safety Manager to guide and train production staff.
• Assist in maintaining SQF food safety requirements.
• Assist in continuous improvement projects.
• Collecting internal data.
• Perform Quality and Safety Audits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• One to three years' experience of quality standards in manufacturing.
• Knowledge and experience relative to Environmental standards.
• Must be a certified SQF Practitioner with HACCP or willing to pass required training upon hire.
• Ability to read, write and communicate with others in English.
• Bilingual Spanish is a plus.
• Working knowledge of quality tools and equipment.
• Ability to deal with standard situations with occasional changes and to apply common sense to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
• Corrected 20-20 vision and the ability to distinguish colors and other printing and folding carton non-conformances.
• Able to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
