SRNS REQ 685346 Clerk Administrative Assistant

Location: Savannah River Site, Aiken, SC

Status: Open through 8/24/2023- Candidate documents must be submitted 24 hours prior to the closing deadline.

Duration: 3180- 2600-ST, 580-OT- one year

Duties/Responsibilities:

Provide administrative support services to Savannah River Nuclear Solutions (SRNS) across several broad areas such as personnel, office science and day to day administrative support. Additional functions (not inclusive) are:

  • Work with team members to ensure team, department, and divisional goals are met.
  • Communicate in a clear, respectful manner with team and management.
  • Collaborate and share with other team members to promote knowledge transfer.

Work Hours:

A 40-hour work week is scheduled. SRS utilizes various work schedules, including 5/8s (8 hours/day; five days per week), 4/10s (10 hours/day; four days per week), and a 9/80s (9 hours/day, five days on week A and 4 days on week B). Work week excludes SRNS holidays. Each workday has a 30-minute lunch. Work hours in excess of forty hours a week may be required, as authorized by SRNS management.

Education:

Graduation from high school and minimum of 2 years of clerical experience or relevant task-based discipline.

Experience/Skills

  • Candidates who have possessed an active DOE clearance ( L or Q ) within the past two years.
  • Practical experience in office sciences.
  • Produce written documents with clearly organized structure and grammar.
  • Foster a work environment that promotes safety, quality, openness, trust, communication, teamwork, and customer satisfaction.
  • Plan work in a responsible manner, balancing company goals vs. schedule, budget, safety, and resources.
  • Ability to operate Windows Microsoft Office applications.
  • Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE Q security clearance.

Required Qualifications:

  • Reference check to evaluate performance capability.
