Job Summary
Hilty’s Electrical Contracting is an electrical subcontractor specializing in new construction, multi-family residential projects. We are currently hiring an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team. Excellent communication skills and construction knowledge are essential to be successful in the position.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Create comprehensive estimates for projects.
  • Develops and track requests for RFI’s; review all RFI/ASI’s as they come in.
  • Log all change orders that come in; analyze and evaluate.
  • Assist with project proposals, estimating projects and review of contracts.
  • Communicate with jobs site Foreman and General Contractor’s.
  • Review the scope of work for projects.
  • Determine and price value-engineered alternatives to plans and specifications.
  • Estimates material takeoffs and develops change requests.
Requirement and Qualifications
  • Prior experience as an estimator.
  • Knowledge of cost estimating software.
  • Familiarity with construction practices, costs, and procedures.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of project scheduling, bids, take-offs, change orders and contracts.
  • Understanding of Code requirements and basic electrical engineering calculations.
  • Capable of working independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Bilingual a plus.
The starting annual base pay for this role is between $85,000 and $95,000, DOE. The base pay is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
