Here’s What You’ll Get To Do
* Communicate the goals of the organization to the work force through one on one, department and safety meetings.
* Ensure a safe work environment by enforcing, educating, and coaching employees to follow company safety and environmental policies and procedures.
* Facilitate problem solving efforts, identify root causes and implement solutions.
* Responsible for assigning tasks to individual employees and ensuring correct completion in a timely manner.
* Serves as a liaison with scheduling and finishing department for locating material.
* Assists supervisor by submitting documentation.
* Ensures production is entered accurately into EPICS.
* Completes required quality checks.
* Checks extrusion piece counts.
* Assists Continuous Improvement group or the department supervisor with the disposition of material left on hold (problem solving).
* Inspects equipment before use.
* Operates PIT equipment
* Print labels, post shipments and creates manifest.
* Inspection of dollies before making tags as well as moving full and empty dollies in and out of station as needed.
* Manages hour by hour board
* Regular and predictable attendance.
* Other duties as assigned.
Here’s What We’re Looking For
* PIT certified: Forklift & Combi lift.
* Crane operator approved.
* Strong communication (written and verbal) skills with the ability to communicate well with all levels of employees.
* General knowledge of computers/software, Microsoft Office, Epics, Ignition software.
* Strong leadership skills.
* Excellent organizational skills
* Aluminum material handling experience preferred.
* Ability to learn and understand the Material Handling process as well as process control concepts.
* Ability to work in a team environment, supportive to the organization, as well as working safety to meet production efforts.
* Basic understanding of manufacturing and service-oriented business practices.

Physical Requirements
* Stand and walk for entire shift on concrete, up to 12 hours
* Twist, bend, stoop and kneel
* Lift, push, pull and move up to 75lbs individually or 150lbs with a partner
* Grasp, squeeze, hold/handle thin to thick metal, small & large items
* Requires reaching, handling and grasping while turning of upper body while moving and lifting
* Visual acuity to inspect product for various quality flaws and to ensure equipment is in safe working condition
* Proper wear of all required Personal Protective Equipment
* Work in temperatures consistent with outdoor climate conditions and hot machinery (Heat, humidity, etc.)
