Old Tampa Bay Title is Hiring an Escrow Officer Near Tampa, FL

Tampa Bay based title company seeks a seasoned escrow officer to add to our growing team. Candidate must have prior title experience and must be an excellent team player. The ideal candidate will have superb communication skills and a passion for customer service. Job duties include completing real estate escrow transactions by determining requirements, assembling, preparing, reviewing, processing, and distributing closing documents, and disbursing funds.

EXPERIENCE 3 Years is a must!

Responsibilities:

1. Closing Coordination:

  • Coordinate and schedule real estate closings with all involved parties, including buyers, sellers, real estate agents, lenders, and attorneys.
  • Ensure all parties are well-informed about the closing process and any required documentation.

2. Document Preparation:

  • Review and prepare all necessary closing documents, including settlement statements, deeds, and other legal documents.
  • Verify the accuracy and completeness of all documents to comply with regulatory requirements.

3. Title Examination:

  • Conduct title searches and examinations to identify and resolve any potential issues or discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with title underwriters and resolve title defects or clouds on the title.

4. Communication:

  • Serve as a point of contact for all parties involved in the closing process.
  • Communicate with real estate agents, lenders, buyers, and sellers to address any concerns or questions.

5. Closing Conduct:

  • Conduct real estate closings, explaining documents to clients and ensuring that all signatures and notarizations are completed accurately.
  • Oversee the disbursement of funds and the transfer of ownership.

6. Recordkeeping:

  • Ensure all closing documents are properly recorded with the appropriate government agencies.
  • Maintain organized and secure records of all transactions.

7. Compliance:

  • Stay up-to-date with local, state, and federal regulations affecting real estate transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and legal requirements.

8. Problem Resolution:

  • Address and resolve any issues that may arise during the closing process promptly.
  • Collaborate with relevant parties to find solutions to challenges.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Title Closer or in a similar role within the real estate or title industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of real estate closing processes, title examination, and related legal documents.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with relevant software and systems used in the title industry.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred but not required.
  • Relevant certifications or licenses in real estate or title closing may be required.
  • Several years of experience in real estate transactions and title closing.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
