Old Republic Risk Management (ORRM) is currently seeking an Associate Accounting Analyst to join its Finance Team at its company headquarters in Brookfield, WI. Under the guidance of the AVP-Accounting, the Associate Accounting Analyst prepares financial statements, provides analytics pertaining to the budget process and various financial reports and assists with client financial reviews.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements and supporting schedules adhering to internal and external reporting timetables. Research and provide analytics for deviations.
• Prepare and assist with client financial analysis reviews.
• Maintain, compile, analyze and research deviations for the quarterly close and annual budget processes with an in-depth understanding of company processes.
• Compile and assist with internal and external audit requests as it pertains to Sarbanes-Oxley and the financial statement audit.
• Initiate wire disbursements and maintain bank repetitive codes. Approve when instructed.
• Complete Accounts Payable Processing & Review for required ledger standards. Produce and distribute W-9's and 1099's.
• Complete and mange daily cash reconciliation process of cash inflows and outflows.
• Assist in developing and maintaining various accounting reports extracted from the ledger system utilizing SQL and Crystal.
• Input and review Net Premium data to the internal database system.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
This position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field and a minimum of one year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Working as an Associate Accounting Analyst requires one to work independently and effectively within a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with Microsoft (MS) Windows and Office products is necessary. Other skills necessary include excellent oral and written communication skills, strong organizational and accurate proofreading skills, the ability to maintain accurate records, the ability to exercise discretion with confidential information, strong attention to detail, and the ability to use a variety of office equipment.PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:This position requires one to sit for extended periods of time and stand and/or walk occasionally. The position requires one to occasionally push, pull, carry, and/or lift up to 10 pounds. No personal protective equipment is required. Ergonomic equipment is available to employees.
