Position Summary: Our Support Staff Tellers provide excellent service to our customers through the performance of teller duties, and completion of a variety of assigned branch duties, while providing support at our different branches on the Peninsula.
Essential Functions:
Performs all duties related to the processing of internal and external customer paying and receiving transactions.
Completes daily cash balancing of till.
Provides excellent customer service assisting, responding to, and resolving internal and external customer inquiries.
Uses opportunities wisely to promote the bank and sell and cross-sell bank products and services.
Assists head teller with teller line operations through the performance of assigned duties.
Attends required meetings and training seminars.
Accountable for the understanding of and adherence to operational controls, policies, procedures and processes to ensure compliance with bank policies and related laws and regulations.
Handles sensitive and confidential information with discretion and strict adherence to established policies and procedures to maintain branch security.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements (Knowledge/Skills/Abilities)
Basic knowledge of MS Office with the ability to learn other job specific software applications.
Knowledge of basic accounting skills for balancing cash drawers and completing customer transactions.
Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to distill and convey information in a compelling manner.
Skill in discovering and working to meet underlying needs; following through on questions, requests, complaints.
Skill in adopting technological advancements and facilitating into current and future responsibilities.
Ability to anticipate, monitor, and meet the needs of customers (internal and external) and respond in an appropriate manner.

Education/Experience:
High school graduate or GED.
Minimum 3 months cash handling; and customer service experience and/or sales role.
Possess a strong desire to help others and take pride in providing excellent customer service.
