We are currently seeking a Project Manager that will initiate, plan, execute, control and close projects according to ONBs established project management methodology. In conjunction with Project Sponsors, the Project Manager defines the projects objectives, success criteria, and scope, schedule, and budget constraints. The Project Manager also builds the project team and directs their efforts to ensure that project objectives are met or exceeded according to plan, per quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and manage projects from beginning to end, using processes outlined in the five PMI Process Groups: Initiating, Planning, Executing, Monitoring/Controlling, and Closing.
  • Apply agile practices when working with scrum teams and assist with cultivating agile at ONB.
  • Define project objective, scope, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with the projects sponsors.
  • Develop the project charter, roadmap, and detailed project/task plan. Depending on the project, develop unique plans for client experience, communication, testing, training, change management, and/or configuration management.
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to project sponsors, steering committee, team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear manner.
  • Serve as the projects liaison with project stakeholders.
  • Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals. With support from project sponsors, negotiate the acquisition of staffing and project resources needed to complete the project, including both internal and external resources (third-party contractors/consultants).
  • Coach, mentor, and motivate project team members. Influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
  • Apply change, risk, and resource management.
  • Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
  • Identify project risks and issues and determine resolution and mitigation plans.
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
  • Prepare project dashboards, proposals, and presentations, and communicate this information to project sponsors, executives, team members, and stakeholders.
  • Develop and grow business relationships that are vital to the success of the project.
  • Conduct post-implementation lessons learned discussions and document successful project elements and recommendations for future improvement opportunities.
  • Support the development of best practices and tools for project execution and management.

Experience/Qualifications

  • 5 years of project management experience in IT or banking.
  • PMP certification; if not currently held, obtain within 12 months.
  • Agile (CSM, PMI-ACP) certification is a plus.
  • Education: Bachelors degree preferred.
  • In-depth experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint. Experience with Microsoft Project, Visio and Jira is a plus.
  • Excellent understanding and experience with processes, procedures and functions involved in managing large complex projects.
  • Very organized and detail oriented.
  • Possess proactive problem-solving skills.
  • Adaptable and able to calmly deal with shifting priorities.
  • Function well in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
