The Poplar Cafe at East 54 in Chapel Hill, NC is looking for skilled baristas to join our team. We are located on 1114 Environ Way. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, punctual, reliable, has great customer service stills, barista knowledge, and a unique and creative personality!

Responsibilities Include

*Preparing espresso beverages and select food items in accordance with customer needs. *Maintaining a clean and tidy work space. *Following health and safety guidelines which includes cleaning and organizing in a coffee shop environment. *Interacting with a diverse group of customers in a professional and friendly manner. *Handling monetary transactions. *Contributing to social media pages by assisting the team create content for Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok. *Becoming a loyal part of the Poplar family!

Qualifications Include

*Proven working experience as an artisan barista (minimum 6 months). *Food handing and preparation experience encouraged but not required. *A high level of integrity. *A strong attention to detail. *The ability to listen and communicate effectively and adapt to changing environments. *A creative mindset that thinks outside the box to develop new concepts to promote growth. *The ability to walk, stand, and bend for up to 8 hours a day and the ability to lift at least 25 pounds. Available shifts and compensation: We have available shifts all days of the week. Compensation is $13.50 - $20.00/hour.
