Description
Work as a 3 or 4 person crew to send and stack the city orders. Neatly stack and organize the products according to pattern up to 8 feet high. Load and unload trailers to fellow crew members stacking up to 11 feet high. Hours for this position are Sunday to Thursday 9pm to 5:30am. Overtime is available as needed.
Job Duties
- Send product from warehouse to garage to be staged behind route truck
- Stack product from warehouse behind route truck
- Send product from warehouse to semi-trailer to be stacked by crew members
- Unload product from trailers to be stacked in warehouse
- Scan products onto orders.
- Compare code dates to make sure sending oldest product first
- Unload trailers with either a fork lift or power hand jack
- Follow directions as given
Qualifications
Communicate with others to maintain a safe and friendly work place. Past experience in a warehouse or material handling setting is a plus. Ability to work well with others as part of a team.
Job functions
- Determine product by reading label on box to pick order
- Work at a quick pace continuously for the entire work day
- Dependable attendance is required
- Walk or stand continuously for the entire work day
- Work at or below waist level for 35% of the day
- Work at or above shoulder level for 35% of the day
- Reach out with arms from body to lift and carry 65% of the day
- Able to lift/push/pull up to 60lbs, frequently lifting 4lbs to 35lbs
- Safely work around conveyers and machinery
- Accurately count and keep track of counts
- Use RF scanners to track and send loads
- Operate powered pallet jack to load/unload trailer
- Operate forklift to load and unload trailer
Benefits
Starting wage is $22.38* - $24.64, top scale is reached at 15 months. Yearly wage increase per contract thereafter. Weekly pay and overtime after 8 hours. Personal time off, medical, dental, HSA, vision, life insurance. Pension and optional enrollment in 401K with company matching.
*Add to hourly rate .25c per hour for 3rd shift and .20c per hour earned per week for "on-time-bonus".
This is a union position with Twin Cities Bakery Workers Local 22.
