OCES supports elders and individuals with disabilities by providing vital information and coordination of services. By promoting healthy, safe lives for our consumers, we hope to allow them to stay as active and engaged in their lives and in their own communities for as long as possible.
We are seeking an Outreach & Education Specialist to assist in the ongoing planning and assessment of educational and social activities specific to older adults and individuals with disabilities. This position will coordinate and lead events in person and virtual.
What you will do:

• Promote education and socialization for professionals and members of the community.
• Collaborate effectively with Councils on Aging and other service agencies.
• Participate in meetings within as well as outside of the agency and serve on related committees.
• Plan and deliver materials about OCES services (including newsletters, news releases, speaking engagements) and implement outreach plans.
• Participate in training staff members and program volunteers.
• Participate in developing outreach plans, goals, and tools for evaluating outcomes.

What you will bring:

• Bachelor's degree in education, human services or related
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent computer skills
• Ability to respect confidentiality.

• Ability to organize and prioritize work with minimal supervision.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

• Certifications in evidence-based training programs or related activities preferred.
• At least one year of experience in community or elder service programs
