Under the direction of the MIS Manager and/or designee, the Township of Old Bridge is looking for a SQL developer with expertise in VBA, MS-SQL queries, and procedures, can create custom reports, and modify ERP user forms to enhance organizational productivity. The selected candidate will be responsible for designing/maintaining databases and ensuring their stability, reliability, and performance, SQL scripting to Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Excel) and to extract data for SQL Server applications.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Development of high-quality database solutions.
• Develop, implement, and optimize stored procedures and functions using PostgreSQL/MSSQL.
• Review and interpret ongoing business report requirements.
• Research required data & suggest new queries.
• Build appropriate and useful reporting deliverables.
• Analyze existing SQL queries for performance improvements.
• Develop procedures and scripts for data migration.
• Provide timely scheduled management reporting.
• Investigate exceptions regarding asset movements.
• Perform other related job duties as assigned

Requirements and Qualifications

• experience as a SQL Developer or similar role.
• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject.
• Excellent understanding of Microsoft SQL Server.
• Good knowledge of HTML and JavaScript a plus.
• 3-5 years of experience with SQL Server Reporting Services and SQL Server Analysis Services.
