Nature of Position:

Langston University is seeking a full time AssistantProfessor of Humanities in the Department Social Sciences and Humanities.The starting date will be Spring2023.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Faculty member must be prepared to fulfill theresponsibilities of teaching, scholarship, and service to the university. Thefaculty member will teach a minimumof 12 hours per semester in Humanities and Philosophy courses. Faculty memberwill provide mentorship and academic advising to undergraduate students. Faculty member should be skilled in theapplication of technology to enhanceteaching and learning. Faculty member will actively seek grants and otherfunding to help strengthen the department's research program and providestudent support. Faculty member will participate in departmental, school, anduniversity projects and committees. The faculty member will play an active role in shaping the future of the socialsciences and humanities department through departmental planning anddevelopment.
