Job description


This individual will be responsible for educating patients who are scheduling surgery with the goal to ensure patients are comfortable and understand their options and the process before, during, and after surgery. The counselor will prepare the schedule, maintain files, and use effective communication between team members, the clinical team and the surgery center to keep a consistent flow. Duties include scheduling surgery and postoperative care, coordinating with the billing department regarding patient benefits and prior authorizations, securing payment method information and financing while keeping the patient in a relaxed and comfortable environment.

Skills/Requirements include:

Excellent communication skills, presentation, and listening skills are a must. Candidate must have computer and personal organizational skills.
