Description
*** Must have the availability to work various shifts/days, should the needs of the department require you to do so. Current schedule is Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week*** Determines Pretrial Release Program eligibility, initiates background investigation, and security check for client for Pre-Trial Release by performing the following duties: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. •Maintains regular attendance at work and is consistently on-time. At times, may work part of daily schedule from Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office. •Manages a case load of assigned Pretrial Release Program clients.• Collects, organizes, validates, and analyzes personal and criminal history information about clients through the State Court, Sheriff, Court Clerk, District Attorney, and the NCIC system.•Organizes weekly “in-office” visits, makes referrals based on the client’s needs, makes referrals to various counseling programs based on offender’s ability to pay. •Sends case information to the district Judges for approval or denial. •Makes recommendations to the courts as to what conditions of client supervision should be set. •Prepares Pretrial Release bond for the Courts signature. •Interviews clients in the County Jail and make assessment of information given to determine eligibility in program. •Obtains release from jail for the client with the proper documentation. •Conducts follow-up on clients who have bonded out of jail to assure court appearances. •Composes, types, or enters routine information and correspondence. •Types written reports on client violations and client progress within the program to judges, lawyers and clients. •Conducts drug testing by taking urine samples from clients and analyzing for drug usage. •Provide services for voluntary clients referred by attorneys (i.e. drug testing, counseling referrals, documenting and providing progress reports to defense counsel). •Collect fees for services rendered. •Monitor clients who are being supervised by GPS Monitoring. •Files correspondence and other records. •Answers telephone and gives information to callers or routes call to appropriate official and places outgoing calls. •Makes copies of correspondence or other printed matter.• Other duties may be assigned.
Experience
Six months related experience in law enforcement or investigative work; or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Must have basic computer knowledge and skills, and ability to read and understand basic mapping procedures.COMPUTER SKILLS: The employee has the ability to navigate through M/S Word and Excel specifically, and other related County or GPS software. Daily work assignments revolve around computer skills and knowledge. Other computer functions would consist of email, Oklahoma Supreme Network, and all available Oklahoma County electronic records and databases.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Must possess a valid Oklahoma Driver’s License, must become certified to operate the Oklahoma Law Enforcement Electro-communication Terminal.
