Manager of Partner Engagement and Special Projects

Reports to: Chief Executive Officer

Position Summary

The Manager of Partner Engagement and Special Projects creates and maintains meaningful relationships for the OKC Innovation District that lead to collaboration and understanding of the District’s mission. In addition, this person oversees various projects that will have an impact on the district.

About the OKC Innovation District
On December 20, 2016, The City of Oklahoma City (“City”) adopted ordinance no. 25,531, approving the Oklahoma Regional Innovation District Project Plan. This effort established a committee, referred to as the Education Committee for “Enhanced Education and Skills Training,” which has a focus on the objective of enhancing education in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (“STEM”) while exploring models for increased effectiveness related to skills training, internships, and employment opportunities stimulated by the Innovation District located in historic, Northeast Oklahoma City.

Essential Functions

Educational Programs (Innovation Academy)

• Maintain current Innovation Academy programming
• Oversee marketing campaigns
• Create new programs
• Create and maintain partnerships with Schools and District Administration
• Create a fundraising strategy

TIF Committee

• Coordinate TIF Education Committee meetings
• Maintain Budget
• Oversee Project Coordinator
• Maintain relationship with Committee Members and grantees of TIF funds
• Oversee Marketing Campaign

Workforce Development

• Create relationships with employers in the District
• Create opportunities for NE OKC Community Members to gain employment
• Create internship opportunities for students

Innovation Hall

• Maintain a relationship with the MAPS 4 office and Innovation District Sub-Committee
• Work with developers, architects, and contractors throughout the construction process
• Work with CEO to create operations plan for the building
• Work with Director of Programs and Events to create programming plan and strategy
• Work with Consultants and Director of Digital Marketing on marketing strategy

Business Improvement District (BID)

• Work with the CEO to create plan for BID Services
• Work with the Alliance for Economic Development to create assessment amount

BIPOC Entrepreneurship Programs

• Work with NE OKC Renaissance and i2E to create the OKC Minority Accelerator
• Work with National League of Cities to implement Ownership and Optionality program
• Work with Director of Programs and Events to create programming for minority founders

Compensation and Benefits

• $70,000-$80,000
• 2 weeks of paid-time-off

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
