Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Superintendent to join our construction team. As a Superintendent, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Duties:
- Manage and supervise all on-site construction activities, including subcontractors and laborers
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and OSHA standards
- Develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera or similar software
- Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents
- Coordinate with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project success
- Monitor progress and provide regular updates to project team and clients
- Conduct quality control inspections to ensure work meets established standards
- Resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise during construction
- Manage project budgets, including tracking expenses and controlling costs
- Review and negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers
- Keep accurate records of project activities, including daily reports, change orders, and RFIs
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred
- Proven experience as a Superintendent in the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations
- Excellent leadership and supervisory skills
- Proficient in Primavera or similar scheduling software
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Familiarity with Prolog or other project management software is a plus
Note: This is a paid position. Internship positions must also be compensated according to applicable laws.
