About the role:

We’re hiring a Software Engineer to create advanced vision processing solutions to aid in the automation of complex farm tasks. You will be solving problems that require creative and innovative thinking as well as technical proficiency. While you will be focused on the software aspect of this project, you will see a direct impact on the output of our farm operations. You will also be responsible for assisting in the development and advancement of other software platforms used to operate our farms' robotic systems and back end monitoring systems.

What you’ll do:

• Design multi-camera vision recognition software capable of dynamically detecting objects in three dimensional space. You will be responsible for designing and implementing the hardware and software required to perform this task.
• Assist in any other software related tasks required around farm operations and in-house robotics.

Who you are:

• Have a Bachelors or higher degree in software engineering or computer science
• Experience designing complex software systems from start to finish
• Have worked on vision systems and written object detection software
• Knowledge of machine vision platforms and hardware selection (CCDs, lens, filters, etc)
• Comfortable writing code to process images, calibrate for dimensional accuracy, and compensate for distortion
• Proficient in math and comfortable writing algorithms to model and track objects in three dimensional space
• Creative and able to deliver results in a fast paced environment
• Team player who is excited about automation, innovation, and indoor farming.

Additional details:The following skills are preferred:

• Proficient in Java, C/C , and or Python
