Ohman Family Living is Hiring a Long Term Care Nurse Near Burton, OH

Day in the life:

You'll typically be responsible for roughly 20 residents who have chronic conditions. You start each day by conducting morning assessments, checking vital signs, and administering medications to our beloved residents. Throughout the day, you work closely with a dedicated team to implement personalized care plans, participate in rehabilitation activities, and provide genuine support to our residents and their families. As a Floor Nurse, You'll do:

  • Patient Care: You'll provide direct patient care, which involves administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with activities of daily living.
  • Assessment and Monitoring: You'll conduct regular assessments of residents' health and well-being, monitor changes in medical conditions, report any abnormalities to the registered nurse or physician, and collaborate with the IDT to improve the resident care plan when necessary.
  • Documentation: You'll document all aspects of patient care, including medications administered, vital signs, and any changes in residents' conditions to ensure continuity of care.
  • Communication: You are a vital link between patients, their families, and the broader healthcare team. You communicate effectively with residents, updating them on their care plans and addressing any concerns.
  • Leadership, Management, and Accountability: You'll also work closely with nursing assistants and other support staff to guide, direct, and ensure your residents receive what they need and deserve. You may also participate in training and orientation programs for new staff members.

You'll need:

  • Completed state-approved LPN education program
  • Current LPN license to practice
  • Valid CPR certification

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, PRN

Pay: $33.00 - $40.00 per hour
