Job Description Summary:
This position is responsible for assisting staff Physical Therapists in accordance with the Ohio Physical Therapy Board laws and rules. Following the set POC, the physical therapy assistant provides patient treatment, patient/family instruction and assists in discharge planning. The PTA documentMinimum Qualifications:
Associate's Degree (Required)BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association, DL-HC - Driver's License only if in a Home Care department - Department of Motor Vehicles, LIC - Licensed in Field - State of Ohio, PTA - Physical Therapist Assistant - American Board of Physical Therapy SpecialtiesLicensed by the State of Ohio. BLS Certification in modalities to prevent injuries. Continuing in area of interest relevant to work assignment. New graduates with excellent references and/or one year rehabilitation Experience .
For this position, in the Home Care department only, Minimum Qualifications include: Valid state driver’s license, Minimum of eighteen (18) years old, Have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report (MVR), Must provide proof of insurance, if applicable.
