Ohio Valley YMCA - Marietta is now hiring dynamic and experienced Childcare Teachers for our center in Marietta, OH.
Ohio Valley YMCA - Marietta is a child care center that has been operating in Marietta, OH for over 50 years. We are a dynamic group of professionals who are passionate about working together to provide a great experience for our children and their families.
Our Center is open 6:30am to 5:30pm Monday through Friday and our staff and parents have very strong relationships and positive interactions.
Some of the duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Creating and maintaining a clean and safe environment for the children
- Providing developmentally appropriate and age-appropriate care
- Using age-appropriate techniques to enhance the social, cognitive, and physical development of the children
- Assisting with parent interactions when necessary
Skills
- Maintain a professional demeanor.
- Ability to build relationships with both children and their parents.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to engage the children in activities and create a fun learning environment
- Ability to multi-task, work well under pressure, and be adaptable to changing priorities
- Knowledge of child development best practices and best interest guidelines.
