As a Warehouse Generalist, you will perform day-to-day operations in the warehouse and are responsible for receiving incoming shipments, preparing and shipping all outbound shipments, maintaining inventory, and restocking shelves. Responsibilities:
- Shipping/Receiving duties, including checking items into stock and tagging for delivery, and preparing and shipping outbound shipments.
- UPS and FedEx online shipping administration as well as scheduling LTL freight deliveries.
- Receive and check incoming freight/shipments with accuracy matching part numbers to packing slip to ensure good inventory control. Includes unpacking, examining, and routing incoming shipments/parts Data entry into Company's operating systems, FX & SXe.
- Palletize and prepare truck shipments.
- Accurately pick orders including staging service work orders daily.
- Responsible for assisting with inventory control to accurately count, safely and securely storing and movement of inventory within the warehouse environment.
- Manage the daily cycle count of stock inventory, and an annual physical inventory count.
- Maintain and update bin locations, stock and re-organize inventory, record and report shipping shortages and damaged items/shipments.
- Provide general warehouse/company assistance in various capacities, such as: ordering shipping materials and supplies, replenish truck stock inventory, scan all shipping and receiving paperwork daily, attend to will-call and walk-in customers, and assist with general building maintenance as needed.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized warehouse and receiving dock.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED, plus at least 2 years’ experience in a shipping and receiving environment.
- Ability to safely operate a forklift and related typical warehouse equipment (scales, hydraulic truck dock, pallet jacks, etc.). Forklift certification desired but must be willing to train and be certified post-hire.
- Must be able to use taping and shrink wrap devices.
- Must be able to sit, stand and climb ladders for indeterminate amounts of time, and be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- A current unrestricted valid driver’s license with a reliable source of transportation.
