OSU Harding Hospital/East Hospital-Talbot Hall provides the most comprehensive behavioral healthcare services for adults, older adults, and adolescents in central Ohio. We offer more treatment options and a more experienced and diversified staff than any other psychiatric or behavioral healthcare provider in the area. All of our outpatient, IOP, and Partial Hospitalization services include a comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis from a qualified clinician and implementation of an individualized treatment plan. We offer specialized evidence-based services for patients experiencing Mood and Anxiety Disorders, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Psychosis, Trauma- and Stress-Related Disorders, and Sexual Dysfunction. We offer specialty programs in Womens Behavioral Health, Addictions, Trauma, and Neurocognitive Disorders.

STAR Trauma Recovery Center (STAR-TRC) uses a variety of evidence-based therapies that have been shown to help survivors of trauma. We personalize treatment according to the patients unique trauma experience. Our staff includes licensed independent social workers, case managers, certified victim advocates, and other professionals who coordinate internal and community resources to help patients navigate recovery. No two traumatic events are exactly alike. STAR-TRC staff work with each survivor to tailor treatment and support to match individualized needs. We work with each survivor to help them learn how to recognize and cope with symptoms, and to navigate the healing process. The STAR Trauma Recovery Center, one of the first of its kind in the Midwest, is federally-funded through a Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) grant administered by the Ohio Attorney Generals office.

POSITION SUMMARYThe Trauma Recovery Center Behavioral Health Clinician 3 position is a clinical and education position, including, but not limited to: Provide comprehensive diagnostic evaluation for patients with mental health complaints referred to OSU and identified as eligible for services under the VOCA grant (Victims of Crime Assistance program). Provide counseling/psychotherapy/psychoeducation to groups and individuals with mental amp; behavioral disorders to facilitate return to previous or improved functioning. Services provided include group psychotherapy, individual psychotherapy, and/or couple/family therapy using trauma informed modalities specific to the treatment of Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) including Cognitive Processing Therapy, EMDR and Prolonged Exposure Therapy. Formulate individualized treatment plans to assist patients to determine and meet treatment goals. Other duties include advocating within local community if needed; work as part of clinical team; maintain third-party payer relationships; and complete all necessary paperwork (e.g., disability, FMLA).

Minimum Qualifications
For Hire: Masters Degree in Social Work or Counseling or related field; Independent Ohio license to practice (i.e., LISW or LPCC) is required. A minimum of two years of experience working with patients with mental illness and/or substance use disorders is also required. Experience and/or training in at least one evidence-based psychotherapy modality (e.g., cognitive-behavioral therapy, interpersonal psychotherapy) is preferred.

Ongoing: Maintain licensure(s), credentials, and CBLs. Practice within the parameters of the Ohio Counselor and Social Work Board, Ohio Chemical Dependency Professional Board. Training in at least one evidence-based psychotherapy modality (e.g., cognitive-behavioral, interpersonal psychotherapy) will be required.
