Responsibilities

Rehabilitation is responsible for patient screening, evaluating, establishing and carrying out plans of care specific to sub-function clinical disciplines. Alsoresponsible for primary and secondary preventative or interventional methods for sustained health and quality of life. Can operate in a variety of clinical andcommunity-based settings. May have various job responsibilities including clinical, academic, research and community-based roles. This position is 30 hours a week. 

SUB-FUNCTIONMassage therapy is responsible for providing professional massage and bodywork services to promote healing and a sense of wellbeing. Integrates systematicmanipulation of, or pressure on, soft tissue of the human body for therapeutic purposes. May include a variety of massage modalities to include Swedish, deeptissue, myofascial massage, etc. May perform research-related activities. May provide educational services.

CAREER BANDIndividual Contributor - Technical - Work is primarily achieved through individual efforts or by participation on functional or project teams. May coordinate,influence, or review the work of others. May be the primary owner/authority on a given program or process. Performs work of technical (i.e. skilled trade),operational, or administrative nature. Work is performed within clearly established guidelines and procedures. Execution of work is dependent on guidanceand decisions made by others. At Lead level may coordinate and review day-to-day work of others. Typically does not require a university degree but postsecondary education or training may be useful or required.

CAREER LEVELProficient technically or operationally. Continues to develop confidence and knowledge in more advanced technical and operational areas. Basic knowledgeof processes and/or tools required for the role through on-the-job experience and training. May serve as informal resource for less experienced colleagues.Recognizes and solves routine issues that occur within the team or department without supervisory approval. May rely upon guidance and training fromsupervisor and more experienced colleagues when atypical issues are encountered. General support and instruction given for routine work but more detailedinstruction and guidance needed for new activities or special projects. Evaluates and selects solutions from established options or procedures. Typicallyinteracts with immediate supervisor and work team on routine matters and may also occasionally interact with other teams, departments, or customers.Effectively communicates more complicated information.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Licensed Massage Therapist with the Ohio Medical Board in good standing.
  • Minimum 3 years post-licensure experience providing massage therapy.

The chosen candidate will need to complete OSUP's credentialing process before they can start, which is a minimum of 90 days. 

Pay Range

USD $19.73 - USD $29.00 /Hr.
