Ohio's Hospice is Hiring a RN/LPN Hospice House IPU FT Days Near Dayton, OH

What You Should Know About the RN/LPN Hospice House position:
  • This is a full time day shift position at our Hospice of Dayton IPU
  • Shifts will be from 7:00am-7:30pm, with every 3rd weekend/holiday rotation
  • We provide superior care and superior service to patients at their end of life journey. Only those who have a heart for hospice will succeed.

What we are looking for:

As a member of the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) the RN/LPN will provide patient care which may include supportive care, pain and symptom management, preventative care, and personal care to maximize the comfort and health of hospice patients, their families, and other caregivers.


RNLPN Qualifications:

RN's - Graduate of an accredited nursing school; Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Active Registered Nurse license in the State of Ohio without any board actions. Two years acute care nursing experience preferred.

LPN's - Licensed Practical Nurse currently licensed in Ohio with IV and medication certification preferred, One year of previous nurse experience.

  • Commitment to the hospice concept and philosophy of care; willingness to develop skills in palliative care.
  • CPR Certified
  • Certification in Hospice & Palliative Medicine (CHPN) preferred and will be made available to Ohio’s Hospice employees who wish to obtain certification.
  • Computer skills sufficient to properly document services and care.
  • Ability to drive during daytime, nighttime or inclement weather.
  • Valid Driver's License with safe driving record
  • State Minimum Automobile Insurance coverage
  • Complete and pass all pre-employment and periodic screenings, including health screenings, required by the organization.
