Ohio NE Brand is Hiring a Physician (M.D. or D.O.) Near Warren, OH

Essential Job Functions:

  • Directly affects improvements in patient well-being through accurate and timely diagnosis and delivery of relevant, high quality medical care.
  • Ensure the delivery of competent, accurate medical care and treatment to all patients assigned.
  • Meet or exceed all measurable standards of care including overall clinical, quality, and productivity goals.
  • Ensure accuracy, efficiency and appropriate confidentiality with patient charting and related recordkeeping and administrative functions as assigned.
  • Participate in OHO quality improvement initiatives ongoing to help improve patient outcomes.
  • Ensure delivery of all medical treatment and care is consistent with all regulatory, accreditation and professional standards including clinical policies and quality initiatives.
  • Understand and ensure all practices and procedures related to the delivery of medical services are consistent with contracted protocols and procedures.
  • Develop and ensure ongoing, positive relationships and collaboration with other physicians, nurses, administrative and clinic operations staff.
  • Ability to work in team settings where lines of authority and job delineations overlap.
  • Must possess interpersonal skills necessary to effectively interact and promote exceptional service to our patients, families, physicians, fellow employees and volunteers by displaying attitudes and behaviors that reflect compassion, respect and dignity to everyone we serve.
  • Develops and discusses the treatment plans with each patient.
  • Discusses medical procedures with the patient prior to treatment and ensures that necessary forms have been completed.
  • Educates the patient about his/her diseases/health issues, including causes and prevention.
  • Provides or assists in management of ONE patients in the event of hospitalization.
  • Participates in after-hour calls as scheduled.
  • Maintains accessibility for “in-house” consultations with other providers.
  • Updates the Electronic Health Record following treatment. Uses appropriate templates.
  • Prescribes appropriate medications as needed.
  • Follows CDC and ONE guidelines concerning Infection Control.
  • Responds efficiently to patient complaints and questions concerning treatment.
  • Works closely with the billing department to optimize revenue.
  • Engages in continuous learning by seeking out new information to improve upon existing knowledge base.
  • Actively engages in Center activities, meetings and promotes Center Goals and Objectives.
  • Attends all assigned site and organizational meetings.
  • Travel as required to other clinic sites for management and other assigned meetings.
  • Remains current in information and technology needed to sustain position.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Education/Licensure:

  • M.D. or D.O. from an accredited educational institution
  • Licensed to practice medicine in Ohio
  • Completion of accredited residency program
  • Must be board eligible/certified
  • No license restrictions
  • Must have DEA certificate

Physical Requirements:

  • Reaching, bending, stooping, and handling objects with hands and/or fingers.
  • Sitting, standing and walking approximately 80% of the time.
  • Communication skills using the spoken word.
  • Ability to see within normal parameters
  • Ability to hear within normal range
  • Ability to move about
  • Normal overtime/extended work hours
