Ohio Gastroenterology Group, Inc. is Hiring a Patient Experience Specialist Near Reynoldsburg, OH

Ohio Gastroenterology Group is the leading provider of general advanced GI procedures with several state-of-the-art facilities throughout Central Ohio. We employ a talented team of specialists who perform more GI procedures each year than any other practice in our area.
We currently have a full-time opening for a Patient Experience Specialist.
Duties and Responsibilities
Primary Job Functions:
  • Understand the patient journey
  • Investigate, establish facts, and analyze data by reviewing & documenting events from patient charts, appointment history, portal communications, and inbound/outbound calls
  • Review, assess, and respond to patient reviews and feedback
  • Maintain reports and transfer of information of patient reviews to data management system
  • Communicate with patient via phone to assist in resolving level 1 patient concerns
  • Formulate and provide investigation findings to appropriate staff
  • Prepare correspondence and facilitate automated workflows within management system
  • Assess and identify patterns, trends, or elevated concerns
  • Communicate risks and issues to supervisor in a timely manner
  • Coordinate with supervisor for processes & quality improvement
  • Maintain documentation log of patient complaints, the action taken and final resolution of the issue.
  • Maintain positive, consistent, unbiased, and effective communication with peers and all levels of leadership
Secondary Job Functions:
  • Assist team with additional work outside of investigator duties
  • Perform any other duties or tasks as requested by the Supervisor or Manager
  • Participates and works with leads, supervisors, and managers in developing good working relationships and processes throughout the office
  • Attend all office meetings and in service as required

  • Skills to use a personal computer and various software packages, including internet.

  • Ability to manage and resolve problems
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient’s personal and financial information by utilizing HIPAA’s guidelines and regulations
  • Neat appearance, professional demeanor, and pleasant phone voice
Credentials and Experience
  • Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-3 years direct patient customer experience; Medical field preferred.
Special Requirements
  • Willingness to learn new tasks, be cross trained within the office, and be flexible with workload to help office flow, assisting co-workers as needed.
  • Flexibility in working hours.
  • Willingness to serve as a leader within the office
Physical Demands
  • Must be able to sit (frequent), stand (frequent) walk (frequent), stoop (frequent), bend over (frequent) and type on keyboard (frequent).
Work Environment
  • Medical office requiring on-site training with remote work privileges
