OHEL is Hiring a Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Program Director - P/T Near Brooklyn, NY

Ohel is seeking a Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Program Director for our mental health and substance abuse outpatient clinic program. The Program Director is responsible for administrative and clinical oversight of Ohel’s integrated service program regulated by the NYS OASAS and OMH integrated service including, coordinating and supervising the work of the staff, program development, productivity and revenue, quality assurance and utilization review.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervises cases including assignment of cases, assessment, admission, referral, and discharge of clients into services that provide support and treatment
  • Manages crisis intervention and emergencies for program
  • Recruits, trains and provides guidance and supervision to all program staff and monitors productivity
  • Provides training to staff on SUD issues and well as education in the community
  • Assures that all required documentation/charting is completed in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with the regulations of Part 822
  • Prepares administrative, fiscal, statistical and clinical reports as requested by the Project Director and required by OASAS and OMH
  • Monitors program budgets
  • Collaborates with other community-based programs in order to coordinate services to individuals and families
  • Provides individual therapy on-site when necessary

The appropriate candidate will have a graduate degree in health-related field along with NYS certification/licensure appropriate to the degree, or eligibility as a qualified health professional according to NYS Mental Hygiene regulations. CASAC and LCSW preferred. Three years’ experience in a community based mental health/chemical dependency facility, at least one of which includes supervisory and administrative responsibilities is required. Must be familiar with EHR documentation processes and have excellent verbal and written skills. This Part time position is located in Brooklyn and Queens with option for a hybrid schedule.

Salary: $ 72,000- $78,000
