We are looking to add a Bilingual Purchasing Agent to our team in Sunbury, OH. Our ideal candidate will be fluent in Japanese and able to source product that meets the standards of our customers in terms of quality, cost and delivery.

What You Will Do:

· Support the customer requirements in a timely manner for both domestic and imported parts.

· Control the delivery schedule for purchasing of materials, tooling, and other accessory equipment.

· Monitor all purchase products with regards to discrepancies in quality and past due deliveries.

· Correspond with suppliers to resolve any concerns.

· Handle all daily purchasing functions when purchasing supervisor is absent.

· Schedule truckload pick ups for domestic suppliers.

What You Need to Succeed:

· College degree, preferred.

· One year of previous purchasing experience.

· Ability to read blueprints.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office.

· Fluent in Japanese.

· Comfortable with direct customer contact, conflict resolution, multitasking.

· Ability to work autonomously and with a team.

· Advanced critical thinking skills with the ability to thrive while remaining calm under pressure.

This is primarily a sedentary position that involves sitting most of the time and may include walking and standing for brief periods.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
