The Location:

Hale Makua Health Services is a Maui based non-profit that improves the well-being of those in its care through compassionate personalized health services. We are devoted to helping Maui's Elders live their best lives. Hale Makua's Wailuku location is a 124-bed nursing facility.

The Position:

We're looking for passionate Administrative Assistant / Patient Account Representative to serve as the liaison between our guests and their families and the business services department. Additional duties include:

  • Meets with guests and families upon admission and at discharge to discuss insurance coverages and financial arrangements.
  • Processes payments received.
  • Help support the overall efficiency and functionality of the billing department
  • Complete insurance verifications (training will be provided).

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • One (1) year of experience in healthcare, administrative assistant, or related field.
  • Associate Degree or a combination of education and experience in healthcare related field preferred.
