The Position:

We are currently searching for a passionate and detail oriented Health Information Analyst. Under the general supervision of the Chief Information Officer, the Health Information Analyst performs a variety of tasks associated with the collecting, analyzing and indexing of patient care documentation in health information records. Additional duties include:

  • Conducts, develops, maintain and facilitates the usage of various medical records systems for OPMC
  • Conducts and develops training programs for the facilities’ clinical operations teams to integrate clinical practice and software into a viable medical records
  • Directs and educates facility staff on usage of software, workflow processes and data reporting
  • Executes clinical portion of health record software program implementation.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Current license as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Hawaii required
  • Two years of experience in health informatics, health information or electronic medical records
  • Experience with electronical medical records, UDA/forms development, data gathering and report building, providing instruction in software usage and performing medical records audits required.
  • Background in clinical reimbursement (MDS) preferred
