We are seeking a paralegal for a temporary position to meticulously organize a case file scheduled for trial in late October 2024. The responsibilities include sorting all communications received to date, which encompass discovery materials, contracts, emails, texts, and any relevant discussions pertaining to a real estate breach of contract.

Responsibilities:

• Able to work on-site in Ventura initially, then remote.
• Demonstrate fact-gathering abilities from discovery to organize responses, emails and texts, and case development.
• Ability to prepare reports for the above.
• Demonstrate ability to work with minimal direction and with a pro-active approach to problem solving.
• Exercise good judgment in managing and reporting information, and in communicating effectively in writing and verbally.
• Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.

Qualifications:

• Proven trial experience (5 years of experience).
• Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a litigation paralegal, preferably in a law firm setting.
• Proficiency in legal research tools, document management systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Temp Rate: $40/hr
