COLLECTIVE BARGAINING UNIT: This position is not in a collective bargaining unit.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: This position is located in the Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO), Office of Financial Operations and Systems (OFOS), Central Accounting Operations Division. The incumbent is responsible for providing quality assurance controls for maintaining and updating supplier information in the financial system, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and other directives, and minimizing the risk of fraud during the processing of supplier payments. Duties include, but are not limited to: reviewing and validating supplier information to facilitate timely and accurate payments to suppliers; ensuring tax information is complete and accurate; conducting research; examining large quantities of supplier data to identify trends and patterns; and correcting supplier records. Performs other related duties as assigned.Three (3) years of progressive work experience performing related duties and responsibilities such as: reviewing and analyzing financial information using automated systems or databases; creating reports to validate the accuracy of financial data related to accounts payable information; assessing, designing, and implementing internal controls and policies; and developing and recommending improvements to increase operational efficiency. Knowledge of Oracle reporting tools (OBIEE/OTBI, etc.) and database management tools (Excel, IDEA, ACL, etc.).Experience that provides the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for this position.
