COLLECTIVE BARGAINING UNIT: This position is not in a collective bargaining unit.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: This position is located in the Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO), Office of Lottery and Gaming (OLG), Security, Licensing & Charitable Games Section and reports to the Director of Regulation and Oversight. The incumbent provides supervisory direction in the enforcement of lottery rules and procedures and the execution and enforcement of all licensing requirements and charitable games licensing programs. Duties include, but are not limited to: managing the investigative work of Lottery Investigators; managing and ensuring physical building security as well as systems security resources; supervising the licensing of local businesses and local charities; maintaining a comprehensive program of inspection of agent locations; recommending approval or denial of licenses based on analyses of application/renewal information; supervising work management and monitoring procedures to assure that the inventory of applications is processed timely and accurately; and developing and instituting investigative techniques to combat fraud and theft schemes used by Lottery agents and players. Performs other duties as assigned.
 Five (5) years of progressive experience performing duties and responsibilities such as planning and conducting investigations; providing oversight of security operations; ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulatory guidelines as it pertains to licensing processes and procedures; and at least one (1) year of supervisory experience or providing guidance to lower-level staff.Experience that provides the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for this position.
